Art of Joseph Morrison...

Very different from my own, Joseph's art work is very organic and free form; working totally in the creative moment, without any preplanned idea or sketching.
Each drawing, done in pastel chalk, is full of color and you can see many individual works within the whole; the more you look the more you see.
It all may seem very complicated, even chaotic at first, however each piece is very balanced, the colors working in a very subtle way.

Another oldie...

Here is another old print from years ago...I love print making because you work on a plate or block and then when you pull the print it looks completely new because it comes out 'backwards'. You can also feel very prolific printing, making multiples of the work you did just once!

Some old art...

I've always loved to draw faces, which is why I thought doing portraits would be fun. (More on that at a later time.) These are three mono type prints I did (well over ten years ago). Not a very happy time in my life, but still I enjoyed making them.

Headaches...

I've had bad migraines all my life, and now know that one cause is eating too much dairy. Of course I love butter, whipped cream and cheese. I have given up, or try to give up eating all that good stuff, which really inhibits finding comfort in comfort foods, when you need it! Ice cream, no more. So for the last few days we've been eating birthday cake with whipped butter icing...so good. Now I pay for it with a headache. On the plus side, I know why I have the headache and I don't have to walk around feeling sorry for myself!

And sometimes you're not even aware of it.

Blue Scarf

A few years ago, my sister brought me a blue scarf back from Provence. I thought I would take a photo of myself wearing it and send it to her, however I didn't expect these results! The refection of the camera flash at first was surprising, but then I liked it and did a series of these.

A Walk in the Garden

This serene Lady is walking in her garden on a sunny day, one of the first warm days of Spring...
